I finally stepped in to one of my favorite stores, Fry’s Electronics. I had promised my son that I would purchase him a magazine if he came with me. Once in the store, I tried looking for a book to buy for the family. I would want to buy a book for me too, but I realized that I don’t need a physical book, since I could purchase an ebook from amazon or the google play store. Yet, I still was interested in seeing what books may be available
To my surprise, once I found the book aisles, I found that they were filled with toys. Filled with toys? What gives? What happened to all the books? I realized that the store may have opted to not sell books. Still, I went to look for the magazine shelves to choose a magazine for my son. Yet, when I found the magazine aisles, all they had were “As Seen On TV” type products. Huh?
Well, I didn’t confirm it, but it was apparent that the store no longer sells old media.
I didn’t check the CD or DVD aisles, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t sell that type of media either.
Well, out with the old, and in with the . . . well . . . see you online.
